Arona is the heart of the southern nightlife — Los Cristianos, Las Américas, Chayofa and Palm Mar concentrate bars, beach clubs and tribute shows, plus regular cultural programming in the old town.

Playa de las Américas is the engine room: the Veronicas strip for budget nights out, beach clubs along the seafront for ticketed DJ events, and the Auditorio Infanta Leonor in Los Cristianos for touring concerts, comedy and dance. The Los Cristianos seafront also hosts open-air cinema and craft markets through the warm months.

For the local side, aim for the Arona casco fiestas and the Fiesta del Carmen in Los Cristianos, when the harbour fills with decorated boats. Hikers time visits around the trail races that start from the municipality toward Roque del Conde and the south ridges.
