Aurora Jara brings 'Choriza' to Tacoronte — a contemporary circus show offering a slice-of-life portrait with dark comedy undertones, paying tribute to a generation of women. The chorizo as a symbol of resistance and community: a weapon of struggle, a journey into smells, flavors, and memories. A story of time, patience, and healing. More information and tickets 'Choriza' draws on the language of roots, folklore, and rural traditions to question today's consumption model and its environmental impact. Through the character of Faustina, the show takes a critical look at a system built on overproduction, factory farming, and animal exploitation, while championing the work and contribution of rural women who sustained a circular, subsistence economy for generations. Trained in Granada, Barcelona, and Turin (Italy), and with experience in European companies such as Cirque du Platzak (Netherlands), artist Aurora Jara presents her first solo show, blending contemporary circus, theatre, and dark humor.
