Sun Dance Family Sessions. El Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Tenerife / TenerifeLAV and the contemporary electronic music collective Neeve-Micromusic have been running the SUN DANCE FAMILY SESSIONS since 2016: family sessions combining electronic music, dance and wellbeing as part of the activities the Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Tenerife organises at the Teatro Leal in La Laguna. A DJ and a movement professional guide children of all genders and adults through sessions designed to loosen the body, dance together and give everything on the dancefloor. A project aimed especially at families and all beings with a body, of any age, who want to dance in a context of health and celebration. Sessions include a short tailored warm-up and movement prompts based on the dancer's practice, followed by a playful, harmonious session of bodies and beats. Since 2016, TenerifeLAV and Micromusic have held around thirty sessions in the Sala de Cámara of the Teatro Leal, as well as collaborations with cultural events such as TENERIFE DESIGN WEEK, the FESTIVAL DE ARTE PARA LA PRIMERA INFANCIA DE CANDELARIA "PLANBB" and the MÁC FESTIVAL, where more than fifteen hundred people have danced alongside the youngest attendees. DJs from all over have passed through the SDFS.
