outdoor events
Looking for something outside in Tenerife? This is every open-air event happening this week and beyond — beach parties on the south coast, plaza concerts in the historic centres, romerías and fiestas patronales, trail races in the Anaga and Teno ranges, food markets and street fiestas.
Outdoor culture is what Tenerife actually does year-round: summer (June–September) is peak verbena season with free patron-saint concerts in every municipality; autumn keeps the trail-running calendar busy with Anaga and Teide ultra races; winter and spring concentrate around Carnival and the romería circuit (Romería de San Roque in Garachico, Romería de San Benito in La Laguna, Bajada de la Virgen de Candelaria).
Use the interactive map to find what is on near the coast, in the historic centres, or up in the hills — every event card links to start time, the venue location and tickets where applicable.
Frequently asked questions
What counts as an "outdoor" event on this page?
Anything we (or the venue) tag as taking place outside — plazas, beaches, parks, streets, miradores, recintos feriales, trails. Festival programmes that mix indoor and outdoor are included too (you can spot them on each card). Pure indoor shows live on their own venue pages.
When are the big outdoor weekends in Tenerife?
Carnival (Feb–Mar — Santa Cruz hosts the biggest open-air galas), Día de Canarias (30 May), the patron-saint fiestas of each municipality (most fall June–September), Fiestas del Cristo in La Laguna (mid-September), and Christmas / Reyes Magos in early January. Trail races and surf events run year-round; check the sport category for the calendar.
Are these events free?
Most plaza concerts and patron-saint fiestas are free; trail races and beach club / pool parties usually have a fee. Each card shows price or "free" — and you can filter the all-events page by "free" to see only no-cost plans.
How often is this list refreshed?
Daily. Sources include the official municipal agendas, venue calendars, race-organiser sites and the islands' tourism boards. Past events drop off automatically; recurring shows are grouped into one card with all dates.
