Tribute to Tom Jobim + Jam Session. The 23rd Festival Tensamba 2026 comes to Café Teatro Rayuela with a night dedicated to Tom Jobim, one of the great composers of Brazilian music. For this occasion, TSB Brazilian Trio is born — a formation created ad hoc and made up of three acclaimed Canarian musicians: Jonay Mesa on guitar, Tomás López-Perea Cruz on bass, and Sergio Díaz on drums. Guitarist, composer, producer, arranger, and educator, Jonay Mesa has developed his own musical language where jazz, Brazilian, African, and Caribbean music converge. His career includes professional experience in Mexico, Brazil, and New York, as well as collaborations with artists such as Yamandú Costa, Munir Hossn, and Paula Morelenbaum. Tomás López-Perea Cruz is a double bassist, composer, educator, and cultural manager. Trained in Barcelona, Madrid, and London, he has built an extensive international career in performance, teaching, and music management. Sergio Díaz is a drummer and percussionist who began his musical training on piano before going on to study drums and percussion with prominent national and international masters. He has been part of numerous projects and has collaborated with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife. The trio will perform a selection of Tom Jobim's compositions before opening the stage to a Jam Session in which local musicians connected to and interested in Brazilian music will take part. An evening not to be missed.
