Jazz in the Hall – Jazz & Dance III, at Teatro El Sauzal. Our proposal is a music and dance show spanning different eras and styles: the Charleston (energetic arm and leg movements), the Lindy Hop (known for its dynamism and the interaction between dance partners, who improvised and performed spectacular acrobatics), and tap dance (a form of dance combining jazz movements with rhythms created by the sound of the shoes). The project brings together highly prestigious names in both music and dance: Jep Meléndez — body percussionist, tap and sand dancer, choreographer and teacher. Trained in Barcelona and New York, he has spent over two decades developing his own stage language in which body percussion, tap dance and movement speak as a single artistic expression. Bára Hrebackova is a dancer, choreographer and tap and solo jazz teacher based in Belgium. She began her training in Prague, where she discovered her passion for these disciplines after starting out in traditional dance and hip hop. Joshua 'Josh' Hilberman is a dancer, choreographer and tap teacher based in Belgium. Trained by great figures of traditional tap such as Brenda Bufalino, Joe 'Buck and Wing' Stirling and Paul Draper, he is internationally recognised as a performer, creator and educator. Kike Perdomo is a musician, composer and performer, a Berklee scholarship recipient.
