Once again, the Adeje neighbourhood of Taucho comes alive with art and tradition at the Ethnographic Festival. This year's theme, 'Memories of Water', features activities including the launch of the book 'Las Aguas de Adeje', a performance by Mesturao, and the popular guided route with reenactments of local customs and traditional trades. 19:00 – Tribute ceremony at the Centro Recreativo-Cultural El Almácigo. Book launch: 'Las Aguas de Adeje. Un oasis entre arideces (SS. XVI-XIX)' by historian Dr. Carmen Rosa Pérez Barrios. Musical performance by Mesturao. 09:00 – Start of the IV Fast Painting Competition: 'Rincones de Taucho' 10:00 – Craft market 11:00 – Guided route, 'La memoria del Agua', with reenactments of customs and traditions, in collaboration with the Asociación Colectivo Tercera Edad de Adeje, Santa Ana, the Asociación Cultural Imoque, and the residents of Taucho. 16:30 – End of the IV Fast Painting Competition 'Rincones de Taucho'. 17:00 – Exhibition of works and awards ceremony for the IV Painting Competition. Registrations for the 'Rincones de Taucho' competition are open until 18 June via email (pinturataucho@gmail.com) or in person at the Centro Cultural de Taucho on the day of the competition from 09:00 to 10:00.
