Cueva del Viento

The Citizens' Participation Department of the Ayuntamiento de Granadilla de Abona, led by Adaisy Arias Pérez, is organising a hiking route to Cueva del Viento in Icod de los Vinos on 13 July 2026. The site is the largest volcanic tube in the European Union and the fifth longest in the world, formed 27,000 years ago by lava flows from the Pico Viejo volcano. Residents are encouraged to take part in this unique experience that is sure to leave no one indifferent.
