Trail running, cycling and sea sports
Tenerife Bluetrail (June) is the island’s signature ultra — 102 km across Teide, from Los Cristianos to Puerto de la Cruz. Ultra-Trail Anaga (March) and Chasna Trail (autumn) round out the mountain calendar. Cycling sportives include the Vuelta Ciclista a Tenerife (spring) and regular Cabildo-organised rides along the northern vineyard coast.
Surf and kitesurf competitions concentrate in El Médano: World Kitesurf League stops, PWA Freestyle stops and the King of the Air pre-events. Swim: Travesía a Nado Puerto–Playa Jardín (September) and the Anaya 10k. Sailing: Copa del Rey regattas hit Santa Cruz every summer.
