Timing and seasonality

Peak cultural density is February–March (Carnival) and July–September (patron-saint fiestas). Rainy quieter periods are November and early January — paradoxically the best time for museum visits and ticketed indoor concerts, when tourism drops. Sunday evening is the quietest for nightlife; Thursday through Saturday is prime.
