Puerto de la Cruz hosts the third edition of the DLibro Festival — a celebration of the world of books and the trades behind them. The festival runs from 17 to 21 November 2026 in Puerto de la Cruz, with a programme of activities for all audiences. DLIBRO was born with a vision: a festival of books and their crafts that goes beyond the traditional format to become a space for creation, learning, exchange and celebration. Through a programme combining professional, cultural, educational and artistic activities, the project shines a light on the book's value chain and promotes universal access to reading and the written word. Art and culture revolving around the book — to celebrate it, encourage reading and share knowledge. Read it, feel it, live it. Highlights include workshops for schools, meet-the-industry sessions open to the general public, and arts and music events. "Of the various instruments of man, the most astonishing is, without doubt, the book. The others are extensions of his body. The microscope and the telescope are extensions of his sight; the telephone is an extension of his voice; then we have the plough and the sword, extensions of his arm. But the book is something else: the book is an extension of memory and imagination."
