Festival Tropicalia returns this August as a meeting point for music, creativity and contemporary culture with its summer edition. Founded in 2016, Tropicalia has grown over the years into a cultural phenomenon that combines music with a carefully crafted immersive experience for its audience. Headlining the bill is Matías Aguayo, one of the most influential and innovative names on the international electronic music scene. Producer, composer, performer, record label manager and DJ, Aguayo embodies an open and cosmopolitan vision of musical creation. His career, built across cities such as Berlin, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, has shaped an artistic language that goes beyond electronic music to engage with performance, popular song and other creative disciplines. His appearance at Tropicalia is one of the edition's major draws and a rare opportunity in the Canary Islands to experience an artist whose live show transcends the conventional DJ set to become a genuine performative event. The festival will once again feature four stages with distinct musical offerings. The Tropic Stage will host Matías Aguayo alongside Jela & Javadub, Afroclásicos and Makai. The Carnaval Stage will bring together Sistah Vibes, Emi Castilla, Román, Elede and DJ Dream, while the Club Stage will feature Monterreina and Souldance Canarias, DJ CHK, Discolate Crew and The Fonkfenomeno Show. The Jungle Stage will round out the programme with sets from Chola, Mito, Killa, Suga7 & Obscense Frequency and Miyagi & Friends — a line-up that champions sonic diversity and a balance between international, national and local artists.
