Feast of San Luis Rey de Francia 2026

The Charco del Pino Festivals in honour of San Luis Rey de Francia bring together crafts, a romería, offerings and traditional music. Highlights include a fireworks display, dancing, a sung Mass and processions accompanied by a band. Theatre, traditional re-enactments and the arcos dance round out a participatory, community-centred programme. Saturday 22 August – Romería in Honour of San Luis Rey de Francia 12:00 – 4th Craft Fair (Calle Bajamar) 17:00 – Offering to San Luis Rey 17:00 – Romería (starting near the Charco del Pino school and ending on Calle Bajamar) Performances: Orquesta La Sabrosa, Orquesta Tropin and Orquesta Swing Latinos Monday 24 August – Eve of San Luis Rey · Fireworks display · Dance in the Plaza de Charco del Pino featuring: Sara Rodríguez and Antonio Flores 19:30 – Holy Rosary 20:00 – Sung Mass (by Sara Rodríguez) and Procession accompanied by the Municipal Band Tuesday 25 August – Feast Day of Patron Saint San Luis Rey Theatre in the Plaza de Charco del Pino · La Parranda Aldea Blanca will recreate dances from the 1940s and 1950s. Attendees are invited and encouraged to dress for the occasion. · Appointment of the new 2027 Committee 18:00 – Holy Rosary 18:30 – Holy Mass and Procession to Mirador de Chiñama accompanied by the Arcos Dance
