Canaria | Festival DOCanarias LA BERMA / THE BERM Agustín Domínguez Cordero / 90' / 2026 / Spain, Western Sahara *Canary Islands Premiere La Berma is the story of Yauguiha Mohamed Embarec, a young Sahrawi refugee who works clearing mines in the world's longest operational military barrier. Over 10 million mines are concealed along its 2,720 kilometres, making it the most heavily mined area of the planet. He studied Economics at ULPGC. In 1985 he studied Photography. In 2000 he began making digital films self-taught. In 2004 he founded and chaired Gran Angular, organiser of the festival "San Rafael en corto" (SREC).
