Nave Rota, Festival Internacional 6Cuerdas 2026, at Café Teatro Rayuela. Nave Rota are Daniel, Carlos, David and Víctor — musicians and producers connected to Canarian bands such as Mento, McClane, K0manec1 and This Drama, among others. The project began as a trio in mid-2022, born out of improvisation in the rehearsal room, using that process as a starting point to shape compositions into their final form. From this experimental core, the band explores new sonic territories, expanding the classic drum, guitar and bass line-up with live-triggered sequences, vocal layers and ambient and electronic soundscapes. Their debut release, the self-produced self-titled EP "Nave Rota", was published in July 2023. Recorded in May of that year at Manzana Studios (Tenerife) by Oswaldo Terrones (Panda Bear & Sonic Boom), mixed by Manuel Cabezalí (Havalina, Zahara) and mastered by Dany Richter (El Lado Izquierdo), it captures a live performance of their first five compositions. The EP earned them two nominations and one award at the Premios Canarios de la Música 2024. In 2026, coinciding with the recording of their debut LP, David (K0manec1) joins the band, expanding the project to a quartet. The album, currently in the mixing stage — again with Manuel Cabezalí — brings together eleven new songs that the band will begin performing live after the summer, deepening their blend of electronics, rock and experimentation.
