25th Intercentros Melómano

The Auditorio de Tenerife hosts the Canary Islands Regional Round of the 25th Intercentros Melómano (Performance Award for Soloists) in the Professional Grade category. Book tickets online Students from the professional conservatories of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria will take part across a range of instrumental specialisms. With the collaboration of the Auditorio de Tenerife, each performance will last a maximum of 15 minutes with a free-choice programme. After the performances, the jury will withdraw to deliberate, followed by a diploma ceremony. The top-placed contestant will go on to represent the Canary Islands in the national final. Intercentros Melómano is an initiative of the Fundación Orfeo (www.fundacionorfeo.com), founded in 2002 with the aim of encouraging music conservatory students to take part in professional competitions — giving musicians practical experience performing before an audience and a jury that evaluates their interpretation, not just their technical skill.
