The Fiestas de Las Portelas 2026, in honour of Ntra. Sra. del Carmen and Santo Domingo de Guzmán, offer Masses and processions, fireworks, folk and comedy festivals, musical performances, street dances and children's activities. Also featured: the traditional Libreas dance, sport and local gastronomy. August 21 – 20:00 Opening speech (pregón) by Airam Cairós López and posthumous tribute. Announcing parade with The Vid Band. Street dance with Son Sin Límite. August 22 – 11:00 Children's morning with bouncy castles, workshops and face painting. 20:00 Traditional Libreas de El Palmar dance. 22:00 Holy Mass and procession with fireworks; musical offering by Magaly Díaz; performance by Nataly. 23:30 Dance with Los Teymar and DJ Dani de León. August 23 – 16:30 Solemn Mass and procession with Banda de Música Ntra. Sra. de Los Remedios; musical performance by Nataly on arrival. 19:00 Comedy by Cristito ('La madre canaria') and performances by Contraste and Besay Pérez. August 24 – Envite and dominoes tournaments. August 25 – 16:00 Offering Mass with the Casa de Mayores de Buenavista; afternoon tea and folk festival with Cardón de Oro, Tajaraste de Teno Alto and Mazapé. August 26 – 17:00 Children's festival and traditional games afternoon. August 27 – 19:00 Performance by A.F. Tasaigo. 20:00 Grand communal meal; dance with Manuel Dorta.
