San Luis Festivities in El Calvario 2026
The Fiestas de San Luis Rey de Francia in El Calvario bring together open-air cinema, a pregón, concerts, children's games, festivals, religious ceremonies, processions and street dances. The programme includes traditional activities such as the Tirada del Arco, the neighbourhood paella, the children's royal election and the Quema del Haragán. Wednesday, 5 August 21:00 – Open-Air Cinema. 19:30 – Reading of the Festival Pregón by Lucia Acuna, with a performance by Marisa López. 21:00 – Opening Concert of the San Luis 2026 Festivities by Bentahod. 18:00 – Traditional Children's Games. 19:00 – XXX Critérium de Sortija en Bicicleta "Genaro Martín Alonso" and X Trofeo "Pancho Aranzazú". 19:30 – Holy Rosary and Solemn Requiem Mass for the deceased of the San Luis neighbourhood. 21:30 – Dance with Manuel Dorta and Youth Night with DJ Moi. 10:00 – Children's Day with bouncy castles, water castles, kids' activities and many more surprises. 12:00 – Bell ringing and fireworks announcing the Eve of San Luis. 13:00 – Foam Party. 16:00 – Ritmos del Verano, San Luis 2026, featuring Orquesta Fórmula Latina, DJ Christian, Arguayo Band, DJ Christian, Orquesta Wamampy and Renzzo El Selector. Sunday, 9 August (San Luis Sunday) 07:00 – Salutes of Honour to San Luis Rey de Francia in memory of Antonio el Negro. 07:30 – Diana Floreada through the neighbourhood streets with AM Nazarenos de Tejina. 10:00 – Classic Car Exhibition on Camino Antiguo Calvario and surrounding streets. 12:00 – Bell ringing and fireworks announcing the Festival Sunday. 12:05 – Traditional Tirada del Arco de Frutas y Verduras de San Luis, followed by the Traditional Neighbourhood Paella. 17:00 – Grand Gala Election of the Children's Queen and King of the San Luis Festivities and XXV Festival Infantil Fiestas de San Luis. 19:30 – Holy Rosary at the Ermita de San Luis, followed by a Solemn Concelebrated Mass presided over by the Reverend Parish Priest Sebastián García Martín and other concelebrating priests in honour of San Luis Rey de Francia at the portico of the Ermita de San Luis. After Mass, Procession of San Luis Rey de Francia through Calle La Saltona, Carretera General, Tarajales, Verodes and parallel to the Carretera General, accompanied by AMC Ernesto Beteta, the Municipal Corporation, Authorities and Faithful Devotees. Upon arrival at the Ermita de San Luis, Grand Fireworks Display. 22:15 – Quema del Haragán of the San Luis 2026 Festivities. 22:30 – Gran Baile del Remango and End-of-Festival celebration with Grupo La Calle. 25 August (Feast of San Luis) 07:00 – Salutes of Honour to San Luis Rey de Francia in memory of Antonio el Negro. 19:30 – Holy Rosary at the Ermita de San Luis, followed by a Solemn Concelebrated Mass presided over by the Reverend Parish Priest Sebastián García Martín and other concelebrating priests in honour of San Luis Rey de Francia at the Ermita de San Luis. After Mass, Procession of San Luis Rey de Francia around the Casona de San Luis, La Barriada and El Calvario, accompanied by AMC Ernesto Beteta, the Municipal Corporation, Authorities and Faithful Devotees. Upon arrival at the Ermita de San Luis, Musical and Fireworks Offering. As the Saint enters his chapel, distribution of San Luis roses and a toast. Street dance with DJ Christian.
