In 2026, MUSA turns its gaze back to Mexico, a country that was already the focus of one of its earliest editions in 2015. This return offers a chance to revive that connection from a fresh perspective and explore a land of extraordinary diversity, as well as the deep historical and human ties that bind Mexico and the Canary Islands. Fuensanta is a singer, double bassist, composer, and improviser born in Veracruz, Mexico, and based in Amsterdam. Her music moves with complete freedom between jazz, traditional song, improvisation, and sonic experimentation. She typically performs in quartet format, delivering a hypnotic, delicate live show steeped in experimental poetry.
