Sun Dance Family Sessions. The Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Tenerife / TenerifeLAV and the contemporary electronic music collective Neeve-Micromusic have been running the SUN DANCE FAMILY SESSIONS since 2016: family electronic music, dance and wellness sessions held as part of the activities that the Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Tenerife organises at Teatro Leal in La Laguna. A DJ and a movement professional guide children of all ages and adults through sessions designed to loosen up the body, dance together and give everything on the dance floor. The project is aimed especially at families and anyone with a body — of any age — who wants to dance in a spirit of health and celebration. Each session includes a short, tailored warm-up and movement prompts inspired by the featured dancer, followed by a playful, harmonious session of bodies and beats. Since 2016, the Laboratorio de Artes Vivas y Ciudadanía de Tenerife and Micromusic have run around thirty sessions in the Sala de Cámara of Teatro Leal, as well as collaborations with cultural events such as TENERIFE DESIGN WEEK, the FESTIVAL DE ARTE PARA LA PRIMERA INFANCIA DE CANDELARIA 'PLANBB' and the MÁC FESTIVAL, where more than fifteen hundred people have danced alongside the youngest participants.
