Feast of Santa Rosa de Lima, Guamasa 2026

The Guamasa 2026 festival programme in honour of Santa Rosa de Lima includes Masses, open-air cinema, talks, musical performances and the traditional devotional procession. The community celebrates its devotion to Santa Rosa with a blessing of roses, bell ringing and procession routes. Sunday 23 August 12:30 – Solemn Mass, blessing of roses for the elderly and sick, the image of Santa Rosa brought to the church door, flag raising, prayer for the community and bell ringing. Iglesia de Santa Rosa. Monday 24 August 08:00 – Bell ringing and Mass for the deceased of La Cruz Chica, Carretera General, La Cañada, La Cordillera and El Peñón. 19:00 – Cinema in the church. Tuesday 25 August 08:00 – Bell ringing and Mass for the deceased of Carretera del Boquerón, El Majano and side streets. 19:00 – Talk on the Siervita del Sauzal. Church. Wednesday 26 August 08:00 – Bell ringing and Mass for the deceased of C/ Lorenzo López, El Hoyo, Garimba and Los Pajales. 19:00 – Musical performance. Church. Thursday 27 August 08:00 – Bell ringing and Mass for the deceased of C/ Tabares, side streets and La Padilla. Friday 28 August 08:00 – Bell ringing and Mass for the deceased of C/ Santa Rosa and side streets. Followed by a shared breakfast at the church. Saturday 29 August 20:00 – Holy Mass. Iglesia de Santa Rosa. Devotional procession with the image of Santa Rosa to El Casino, a pause for prayer, then return to the church. Sunday 30 August 12:30 – Mass and procession of the image of Santa Rosa along the Vereda del Camellón to the street junction, a pause, then return to the church.
